Hello!

For some reason every bird in the neighborhood seems to come in and perch along the top of the kids trampoline net. They then naturally deposit a little calling card directly onto the trampoline- its driving me nuts as I have to clean it every time the kids want to use it! Any ideas?

  • I recently read a tip for this! They put cable ties around the top of the net. Do them up so the excess points up into the air. They swear it works, hope it works for you

  • If you put something shiny up there you will need to clean all the dust and dirt off occasionally or it will lose its shiny reflection. No guarantee if will work permanently. We had some and after awhile the birds got smart and flew in under them. We found out that old CDs etc. work well in outdoor buildings too even though it is dimly lit when lit at all.

  • You could always try hanging cd’s around the top like in fruit trees, or pop into a bunnings type store and purchase a big plastic owl put it up near your trampoline to deter the birds! Goodluck!

  • crikey, share the one that works with me PLEASE

  • These were good to read. A good question I haven’t ever thought about!

  • Try cd’s or tin foil like mince pie tins on the top of the cage

  • Put a fake rubber snake on it

  • old CDs often work at scaring birds away

  • a spray with cayenne pepper around the top should help

  • I made a “roof” for our trampoline out of shade cloth and secured it with cable ties around the top. No more bird poo and the trampoline stays really cool in summer as well.

  • what did you end up doing

  • there are some good comments here

  • You can buy plastic owls at bunnings

  • wow! rubber snakes? thats awesome@ how have i not thought of that before.. glad i read the answers on this one! thanks ladies!

  • Plastic bags should help but birds are unpredictable.
