Hello!

Hi all I’m going on the carnival cruise soon and I was just wondering if anybody else has gone on one? We we going to Vanuatu and I was wondering what are some of the things we can do on the boat as I have been told there a lot of things on there but I have no idea what exactly. Thanks

  • I haven’t even on one, but family members have and they all had a blast and highly recommend cruises.

  • There’s a pool. They have bingo games. Dress up nights. Fancy dress parties. They have new activities everyday, you will never get bored, trust me

  • Also; I am somewhat surprised that you were not given a comprehensive list of activities; maybe they forgot?

  • I would ask the travel agent/cruise to provide you with a list of activities.

  • Yeah I went to a few off the comedy shows, they were pretty good.. Thinking of going to Fiji maybe.. Does any one know wat kind of things there are to do tgere :)

  • Yes. You will have an activity list put in your cabin, each cruise is different, there will be activities for the children and adults, most cruises have a kids club. Some of the activities we’ve had are jewellery making, painting t-shirts, origami, different types of sports, karaoke, shows, movies at the cinema, water games, bingo, the general stuff that goes on in the Casino – there’s a whole range.

If you want to know what on shore activities they have for your particular cruise you should be able to find that out now via their website as some cruise lines like allow you to book in advance.

  • Fantastic read as I also have been considering taking a cruise.

  • I went on the carnival spirit last year in March! It was brilliant.

Everyday you get the Carnival ‘Funtimes’ which tells you exactly what is happening on the boat (where and when) – you’ll need a highlighter!

There are heaps of activities to do on the boat – on sea days the staff plan plenty of activities such as trivia, cards, animal towel folding (you’ll understand when your on the boat), basketball competitions, golf comps, latin dancing.

Did I mention the shows? There are 2 sessions per night, and there is also a comedy club and a night club, plenty of bars and also the casino.

We spent most of our time by the pool and going to the trivia events – i’d start brushing up on your knowledge now :) My daughter was 3 and she was amazing and just followed everything we did – we could of had her in kids club the whole time – but i was happy to spend quality time with her.

But from the moment you hop on the boat you’ll be in holiday mode – so there is no hurry to get anywhere…food is available 24/7, someone cleans your room, and plans activities for you all day…so the worst part will be the last sea day when you have to think about reality!

  • Relax and do what ever you feel like on the day/night. Day trips onto the island, play games, get a spa treatment or just sip a drink by the pool. HAVE FUN.

  • I would go back to the people you booked through and ask them as im sure they have booklets with all the information you need.
Or you could look the cruise number up on the website.
One thing though….and sorry i cant help this as i used to work in the Shipping industry…. A Cruise Ship becasue of its size is not a boat. Boats are little things such as speed boats. If you told the Ships Captain that you love his boat he would be offended… When you are enjoying your Cruise remember that you are on a Ship and not a Boat ….have fun :)

  • I really thought your travel agent would have told you, or checked with the cruise company. I would have done this before booking a cruise.
