Hello!

We (me, my husband, our daughters 4 and 2.5) are looking for a budget family holiday place on the NSW Central Coast. Any recommendations? Where have you stayed?

  • So many MoMs on here planning family trips away! You guys are ss lucky. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves

  • I would jump on Google and have a look. Lots of great info on Google

  • The Big 4 Ocean Beach Holiday Park has a new waterpark that looks awesome. We went to the Big 4 park at Renmark for Easter and they’ve got one too, and it was fantastic. Do you like camping? It can cost a little to set yourselves up but once you are then it’s a fantastic way to holiday, cheap and lots of fun for the kids.

  • there are some good comments here

  • Caravan parks are great. Perhaps check out Big 4 caravan parks which cater for families. I’ve been to tweed heads one for the day, it was fantastic

  • We stayed in Gosford as our base in a Hotel/Motel just off the highway with a pool.
We took the kids beach hoping and Park hoping. We got to know many beaches and
lakes on the central coast. WoyWoy is a lovely safe hamlet for a young family to stay
and it’s cheaper than say the Entrance or Terrigall

  • Check out trip advisor, they comments on there are usually really helpful, also some of the hotels often have great last minute family deals.

  • Budget wise the Big 4 Holiday Parks offer some great family value.

  • Coffs harbour usually has some good accommodation deals and has a lovely beach.

  • We stayed in Wyndham apartments in Coffs Harbour. They were so fabulous and reasonably priced. The other option would be a big 4 park on the coast. Soldiers point is supposed to be fabulous and super inexpensive for a family

  • I always got service apartments.

  • Google will show you a heap of neat and cheaper places for a holiday on a budget. there are so many to choose from

  • before actually moving to the central coast we stayed at the holiday park at umina beach – it is right near the beach, has an awesome pool and playground for kids and is basically down the road from one of the biggest playgrounds on the coast. It has camping and cabins to suit most budgets and everything is close by. Since moving to the coast I have attended a bday there and found it just as awesome. hope this helps

  • There are some lovely places on the Central Coast Google the central coast and you will find lots to see and do as well as a list of great places to stay

  • Don’t forget ro check the Big 4 caravan parks. They often have budget friendly cabins that are fully self contained and lot’s of play grounds etc – very family friendly and lot’s of families to mix and mingle with.
