Hello!

Hi mums, just after some suggestions for creating keepsake books for my children. I want to put a couple of birthday photos, santa photos, kindy/school photos and any other special photos for each year of their life. The photos will be different sizes too, so it’s not as simple as just putting them in an album with sleeves. Don’t want it to be too fussy, and I’m not very crafty, so any suggestions or recommendations would be helpful. Thanks :-)

  • My daughter has started an email account for this – then she can do it quickly while she puts down the baby, etc

  • You could create one online, I think they last longer

  • Get a scrapbook/ photo album with plastic sleeves – you can buy nice scrap booking cardboard and use that as a nice background to mount photos etc.

  • A proper baby book – one that goes from birth to 8 years maybe – they are already designed like a scrap book for different size photos etc. Or use a scrap booking program on the computer to create your own. There are some scrapbook party plans which also hold workshops to learn how to create such things

  • Maybe a binder with plastic sleeves might work.

  • maybe look at an online scrapbook – there are heaps of templates and sites you can use – then you can print them if you want to or send to family and friends

  • Good idea ,over time there are lots of Keepstakes ,maybe a expandable file ,with part a year of mementos.

  • Spotlight seems good!

  • There are some lovely ones at http://www.celebrationgiftware.com.au/ where you can add to it over time with comments, photos, keepsakes but all the hard work and organisation is done for you. I do love scrapbooking, but sometimes a job never gets started if it seems too daunting :)

  • I would go with a scrapbook that way what every you want to do goes

  • If I was doing this I’d do it along scrapbooking lines, you can go mad when there are no rules.

  • I’ve been creating albums for my son using scrapbooking supplies, and glue/double sided tape the photos onto the pages.

  • you should look at some scrapbooking supplies and make a scrapbook of all memories :)

  • There are companies which create photo books for you. You can even write a small caption for each photo.

  • i’m keen to hear what you ended up doing?
