Hello!

I am after a method of cleaning the stovetop of my oven without harsh chemicals. The burners are in one piece so its easy to wipe spills, but they get burnt food stuck in and have discoloured? I have tried my ENJO oven cloth with marble paste and it won’t budge. I’ve also tried baking soda, have left to soak but to no avail. I need to get this oven looking new (as it was only about 3 months old and we are renting so I need to get it beautiful for our inspections). Any ideas would be great!

  • I would suggest soaking a paper towel in vinegar and then leaving it on the stain for a couple of hours. If it still doesn’t come off, try a product like Jiff.

  • If it is a flat cooktop you can get a blade scraper which helps get any baked on marks off without scratching. Metho may also help…
I use cerapol brand cooktip cleaner and protector and swear by it. I’m very particular with my cooktop hehe

  • I cleaned mine using bicarb soda and lemon juice. I don’t know if the acidity in the lemon help cut through the grease and grime, but it worked. I created a paste and left in on over night. It wasn’t perfect but it was the best of everything I tried and certainly passable.

  • Try coca cola, it’s said to clean car engines like magic.

  • I use a 1 part of white vinegar to 2 parts of water solution in a spray bottle & baking soda paste made with water to clean up gunk & messes on my steel stovetop. Daily cleaning is definitely a key step.

  • I use vinegar but I always clean it after each use so it always remains pretty easy to keep clean. Here are some ways you can use vinegar to clean: http://madmummas.com/2013/10/5-ways-to-clean-with-vinegar.html

  • you may have to use chemicals!
I wipe mine after each use so I never have to do a big clean.

  • put a cup of lemon juice in a baking dish and turn on 150 degrees for an hour, clean it out while still warm with a wet cloth. When your finished put a capful of vanilla essence in to a coffee mug and turn back on and leave for half an hour, it will smell great.

  • Put white vinegar in a baking dish and heat in the oven that may work, it works in my microwave and gets rid of all the grime. Not sure about an oven though but you could try.
