Hello!

We have used our BBQ a lot over the last few days, so it needs a proper clean. Any suggestions for how to get it sparkling again would be great.

  • Bbq wipes are the best and really work! Scraper. :)

  • Pour boiling water on the grill and scrape ! Works wonders !!,

  • The wipes are the easiest, but I have over the years used a can of beer, pour on hot BBQ and scrape off, white vinegar and lemon is good, also eucalyptus oil and then warm soapy water is good.

  • Vinegar whilst BBQ is hot. Scrape with BBQ scraper onto newspaper and scrub with a separate sheet.

  • I bought BBQ wipes and use those – they are great!

  • BBQ wipes are great, otherwise I use white vinegar on everything so id try that with a little lemon added.

  • Lemon works a treat, also I’ve used the BBQ wipes as well, does a decent job.

  • baby wipes? lol this is like the new version of windex lmao baby wipes are so handy but i would never have thought to use it on the bbq. worth a try

  • baby wipes gets everything clean without the elbow grease.even all ur house work.i highly recomend it to all mums

  • We use K2R Oven & Microwave made by Biovital – It isn’t cheap but it can be purchased at your local Home Hardware or Mitre 10 Store approx. $8.15 per can or over the net freight free $48.40 for 6 cans. This lasts quite a while depending on how often you use your BBQ.
My hubby swears by it – you just spray it on and the next day or later that day, you just wipe everything clean. or use your hose if you can afford the cleaner going onto your ground and not hurting plants, etc.
Its a no effort cleaner and really save you time. Can be used on all BBQ’s from the most expensive Stainless steel down to the cheaper brands with no side effects to the BBQ.
    Hope this helps

  • Douse warm BBQ with vinegar and salt. Scrub it in and leave for 15 minutes. Wash with hot soapy water. When clean, reheat and oil while hot. Wipe dry when cool enough to handle.

  • heat up and rub over with cut lemons halfs removes rust and grime after heat oil and cover with salt leave for a few mins then scrape off works really well

  • Heat the BBQ and scrub wearing gloves with Steel Wool and bi carbonate of soda and rinse thoroughly and dry. Once dry, apply some cooking oil to prevent rust from forming. Ensure it is cleaned Asap after every use.

Amway have great quality cleaners that will do the job quickly.

  • scrape it ,scrub with a brush and rinse of with hot soapy water then rinse with clean water.

  • Clean with an oven cleaner, as if it is your oven.
