If I have a fever I take Codral colds and flu tablets. Otherwise Blackmores Liquid Echidnchea works great for me and provides instant relief . Plus don’t forget to drink plenty of water and rest in bed .
I use Ease a Cold and find that they do help keep the symptons at bay but i also need to make sure i do other things like drink water and sleep when I can.
The medications that are designed to dry up a runny nose are great, but I prefer to use nasal sprays that do the same. Paracetamol is cheap and works for aches and pains. I take a couple of Odourless Garlic capsules every day, and more in Winter, or when I’ve got a cold or sore throat, as they lessen the symptoms a lot.
I can’t take them due to a codeine allergy. I use panadol and try to rest (almost impossible when a Mum, I know)and keep fluids up. I also use steam and find that gives a lot of relief (I have a facial steamer). We have a Benny nasal vacuum which is great for the kids and really helps too.
I take them but never know if its doing me any good. There is a brand called KI which is natural but more expensive, my guy has to take that for his condition but I’m not wanting to pay that much for me, thanks ladies, some great ideas
Homely, lemon, ginger, garlic & horseradish work just as well. Grab some paracetamol and visit your local health food shop, but remember big alternate enjoys profit just a as much as big pharma
