Hello!

Do they really work, or are we just wasting our hard earned cash?

  • They are great when you have to work to ease the symptons.

  • If I have a fever I take Codral colds and flu tablets. Otherwise Blackmores Liquid Echidnchea works great for me and provides instant relief . Plus don’t forget to drink plenty of water and rest in bed .

  • I like it when they dry up my nose….

  • I use Ease a Cold and find that they do help keep the symptons at bay but i also need to make sure i do other things like drink water and sleep when I can.

  • I find they work especially the night and day ones

  • The medications that are designed to dry up a runny nose are great, but I prefer to use nasal sprays that do the same. Paracetamol is cheap and works for aches and pains. I take a couple of Odourless Garlic capsules every day, and more in Winter, or when I’ve got a cold or sore throat, as they lessen the symptoms a lot.

  • They are good to help you feel human while your body fights the cold. I find the night tablets are great to help you get rest as well.

  • there are some good comments here

  • i like the sound of the ginger tea :)

  • I can’t take them due to a codeine allergy. I use panadol and try to rest (almost impossible when a Mum, I know)and keep fluids up. I also use steam and find that gives a lot of relief (I have a facial steamer). We have a Benny nasal vacuum which is great for the kids and really helps too.

  • I find Sudafed PE works for me…particularly when I had hayfever type symptoms

  • I Dont believe they work just mask the symptoms.

  • i never buy them. i always drink strong ginger tea concoction when i get the flu cuz it works like magic

  • I take them but never know if its doing me any good. There is a brand called KI which is natural but more expensive, my guy has to take that for his condition but I’m not wanting to pay that much for me, thanks ladies, some great ideas :)

  • Homely, lemon, ginger, garlic & horseradish work just as well. Grab some paracetamol and visit your local health food shop, but remember big alternate enjoys profit just a as much as big pharma
