Hello!

My daughter loved the Rainbow Loom last summer – looked up heaps on YouTube. We became quite good at making the people figures (with guidance from MarloomZ creations and Tutorials By A). Here’s hoping something else takes her fancy this year, although she has already mentioned looming!!! Does anyone else expect more Rainbow Looming this summer, or what else is taking its place?

  • my daughter loved making loom bands.

  • It can be fun!

  • Mom 165081 that is awesome! My daughter just made the bracelets!

  • rainbow looms were popular in our house for a few weeks – now we have loom bands and looms sitting in a box in the wardrobe not being touched.

  • Oh! I watched some marloomz creations in YouTube. She made some wonderful Christmas stuff!! Thanks for the tip!!

  • Just for clarification, the previous picture I posted were made by us by following youtube videos from MarloomZ creations and Tutorials By A. These sites are some of the easiest and clearest looming sites we have found. There are many people that have posted youtube looming instructions, but some are super complicated or incomplete. The sites I have mentioned also have some great seasonal Christmas looming projects too.

  • Your creations are so beautiful, MOM165081!
Does anyone do something “Christmassy” with them? I was thinking they could be small gifts for kids.

  • Good thing Christmas is around the corner! ;) Love it when kids have all consuming hobbies.

  • I love how things go through cycles – looming is good fun.

  • They seemed to have quieten down with the looms, so they are cheap pass time now. The adult colouring books seem to be big hit now with everyone releasing their own version.

  • My daughter and I haven’t tried Rainbow Looming, but I did read an interesting article about the inventor – he thought of the idea as a way of finding something to do with his daughters. The idea took off, he quit his job, and is now manufacturing full time.

  • Some of my lot are still into the Rainbow looms. My teen has taken an interest in looming with wool. So have let her have a go with my loom from when i was in my teens. Might get her the newest type of loom later, they look so much easier to use. The Adult colouring books seem to taken over some of the older children.

  • In case anyone was interested, these are some of our creations. After a few goes they start working better. We have given quite a few away too…

  • I haven’t for it yet. I have bought all the necessary equipment, now I’m waiting for someone to be old enough (besides me) to do it. Waiting waiting waiting
