Hello!

There are so many nappy brands which would you recommend and why?

  • I’d go cloth nappies – bare and boho, they fit really well and affordable. I’d also buy a pack of the plain terry towelling nappies.

  • If I were you I would try different brands until you find one you’re happy with.

  • Kirkland is good for day – when you change more often – and Huggies at night.

  • I still think Huggies are the best and leak proof. I used to bulk bulk when the supermarkets have a big sale. All the cheap brands just leaked all the time and doubled my washing .

  • Huggies have always been a winner…the nappy oants fit really well and rarely leak (some explosions have been nasty). They seem to keep the little man drier too

  • We only use huggies as all other brands gave my kids nappy rash.

  • Depends on if your little one has any reactions to any of them.

With my first child I always brought huggies and eventually tried other brands moved onto another “lesser” brand and then onto Coles comfy bots which is all I have used for my third.

They are cheap and reliable. Maybe you need to try a few to see which suits you.

  • Huggies are great especially the newborn ones and Aldi is also great and cheap but good quality, we use both. Huggies when they are on special and Aldi if Huggies aren’t on special.

  • We have always been a huggies fan in this household. Been using them now for over 3 years between my 2 children and never had a problem.
Have tried baby love once and they leaked and smelt funky when my son used them

  • I always regretted buying other brands & just stuck to Huggies

  • Huggies are very good..except I notice that even when not too small they get “band marks” on their skin. They are very absorbant but very expensive. Overall we have found BabyLove are satisfactory and also very absorbant. If you are on a budget, Coles Brand is good for babies from about 6 months onwards. Even Huggies will leak on a newborn because of the amount of “poo” they do. They all have good “straps” that hold a nappy firmly. You may find that babies with nappy rash will have varying degrees with different brands of nappies Pull-ups for a young toddler can be an issue if they still have loose bowel movements. When you try to remove them some of it may escape – on baby, on the floor etc. We used nappies for longer for that reason…… Snugglers are also very good.

  • I have tried most of them and personally I think Huggies is overrated, although my daughter loves the Minnie Mouse design. I like BabyLove for their pull ups, as they don’t have side tabs that come undone.

  • Years ago when I had my bubs there was no such thing as disposable nappies. They came into vogue when my 4th bub was a couple of months old. I guess the disposables are handy but are they really good for the environment? I used good old fashioned cloth nappies and the actil towelling ones and the chix nappy liners. When bubs had a no 2 nappy all you had to do was shake it gently into the toilet and flush it away! None of this business of putting dirty full nappies into the rubbish bin. The nappies were rinsed and soaked in nappisan then washed in hot soapy water and hung out to dry in the sunshine. Later on after bubs had grown up these cloth nappies made lovely dusters or rags! lol!!!

  • I tried a few different brands when I was using nappies for my son. No matter what brand I tried I always came back to Huggies. I had less leaks & accidents whilst using this brand. I just felt that Huggies was the better nappy overall. :-)

  • I used the Aldi brand for my son. I found they didn’t leak and were comfortable for him.
