  • I’ve had an introductory meeting, but didn’t go ahead.

  • Not really. We don’t really have enough money to need a financial adviser. We pay our bills, don’t waste too much, don’t spend beyond our means and that’s it for our financial planning

  • My hubby And father in law are and I manage the finances!! Lol so no!

  • Yes. I think at least once, to get a perspective on your finances and goals. We go back every couple of years.

  • no but who knows, maybe one day down the track

  • I am the financial advisor in this house :) We don’t have lots to organise, just making sure our bills are paid etc

  • I accessed advice from a free financial planner at the local community centre. She was really good. They refer people to paid planners if they need complex assistance.

  • No,never tried one.

  • No I don’t but my husband is very switched on when it comes to bills and savings. His done a spread sheet that list all our bills for the year mortgage, electricity, rates, school fees, etc then divides them by how many pays we get per year (fortnighty/weekly) then this $ amount we set up to go into a seperate “bill account” and have all our bills direct debited out of there. Obviously leave out weekly cost like fuel, groceries, living money etc

  • Good to check out all fees and costs.

  • I never did! It’s indeed important to see if it’s worth the money you pay for.

  • We are looking for a new planner with reasonable fees. Difficult to navigate through the lists of planners.

  • I once paid over $700 for a financial planner. I found that taking an afternoon to do my own research about pre and post tax salary sacrifice was sufficient for me to make my own decisions.
