Hello!

Can I use any kind of washing detergent to wash my baby clothes in, same as for rest of family?

  • Some parents might feel compelled to seek out the best baby laundry detergent specifically for their infant’s clothes. But health experts say that isn’t necessary, as long as your baby doesn’t have allergies or very sensitive skin.

  • Not necessarily but it depends if there are stains then l would soak them with Napisan then wash in a gentle cycle

  • No but if

  • I always just use a sensitive one anyway, for us all.

  • Yes unless your baby has allergies then use a sensitive wash

  • the normal one should be fine unless you kid had ezcema, my son breaks out in rashes all over his body from the powders, the only one we find works is by tri nature since we started using i we have no issues at all.

  • I wash bubs stuff separately and in a hypo allergenic detergent, nice and gentle on the soft skin

  • yes of course unless bub gets allergies then go for a sensitive product

  • We use the same detergent but just wash the clothes seperately from everything else especially knickers/ jocks and socks or hubby’s work clothes

  • For a long time I used Purity Sensitive Liquid. If things were badly stained I sprayed the patch with Orange Power Pre-Wash Stain Remover and rubbed it, then rinsed it really thoroughly before washing. Some stains I sprayed them, gave them a rub then soaked them in cold water for a few hours. I very rarely have a failure.

  • i always used a wool wash for the babies clothing until they were about 6 months old

  • I used sensitive ones until they were a few years old then I used our regular one. I love the smell of Lux it reminds me of newborns.

  • Yes you can. I tend to use a ‘sensitive’ one as they reduce the harsh chemicals in it which is better for all of us. You can try a natural one but I find they just don’t cut through the dirt like the regular detergents. Especially all the pooey and spewey clothes!!

  • I used the sensitive stuff for my daughter but once the box was gone switched back to the normal stuff for everyone.

  • I bought the sensitive Omo for my Bub and will use it until the box is gone but then I’ll just stick with the normal stuff as I don’t think it really matters. Her skin is pretty good and she hasn’t had reactions to any creams or soaps etc.
