Hello!

I do this with electrical, furniture etc. what do you do? How much sometimes have you saved? We even had a family competition one day to see who got the best bargain… do you bargain when shopping?

  • I’ve never tried bargaining for a better price. I would give it a go on something like a used car.

  • I know at some outlets they can give you a discount if you pay cash on the spot . We have done it at Bing Lee for example in the past . It is also a good incentive so you don’t reach for your credit card unneccesary which I don’t like anyway . Good shopping habit .

  • Without a doubt – always do on the more expensive items. If price doesn’t budge much, try getting a smaller item or delivery added added at no or reduced cost. I bargain less with small independent business though.

  • I do a heap of research and try and find the best possible price.

  • Only for big ticket items. Unless I’m in Asia some where.. Then it’s bargain everything!

  • For electrical I do as there is always a margin.

  • Ive never been really good at this, but Ive always gone by the saying “If you dont ask, you dont get”

  • I don’t have the knack for it,yet my brother is perfect at it!

  • For big ticket items we do! Furniture, cars, electrical and have found people to be quite flexible in their pricing!

  • My hubby is worse then me, he goes to every shop to get prices then picks the best deal and even trys to get it lower so we’ve saved hundreds. I will only buy clothes on sales which I’ve gotten as low as 25c, the clothes I get are even cheaper then second hand stores.
