  • I always thought it wouldn’t be great as you hold your breath/ don’t breathe as regularly so aren’t getting much oxygen?!
I could be wrong but I thought it was every 3 to 5 strokes so if you’re swimming at a slower pace it wouldn’t be as often as breathing normally…

  • Im not currently pregnant but I did find swimming was great during pregnancy. It keeps you cool and takes some of the weight off. Even now I still love swimming as exercise when its hot. Its like a work out without even trying to work out lol

  • Yes, swimming is one of the safest forms of exercise during pregnancy. (Though it’s important to note that water skiing, diving, and scuba diving do not get a thumbs-up as they place pregnant women at an increased risk of injury). Any type of aerobic exercise during pregnancy can benefit you – and your baby – by strengthening your heart and making it more efficient at pumping blood. This improves circulation to your whole body and boosts oxygen levels in your blood. Swimming gives you all this and more!

  • I never did but I believe it would be very therapeutic and good to do

  • definitely! I loved it when pregnant with my first. It was the best thing to release the pressure from my legs. So relaxing!

  • It is a gentle form of exercise. Recommended during pregnancy, recovery from injury, for the elderly and for those suffering joint pain

  • Nope, no swimming for me. Just walking and gentle stretches
