I live close to Sydney and like going there for day trips – lots to do and a beautiful harbour. I also really liked Melbourne when we visited a couple of years ago. It seems to be well designed with lots of facilities within easy walking distance and lots of green spaces.
I haven’t been to Hobart or Adelaide. I love Perth it’s a great city but isolated from the east coast if you’re family is there. I love Melbourne I think it’s got a lot of culture and a more relaxed vibe and Darwin is like a big country town.
We live in Melbourne and love it – it has so much to offer – great shopping and restuarants, fabulous nightlife and stunning beaches. A great place to live and work but, when we retire, it will probably be Brisbane for a more tranquil and laid back lifestyle! Such a pretty city with plenty to do!
Loved reading other moms comments and what was special about them and like most of the moms I have yet to visit and see it all. But personally for me I am not one who likes the hustle, bustle and just pure volume of people in cities. Oh Australia ..cities, towns, beaches, bush, dessert, farms, wide open spaces and amazing places, we are sooo lucky and have it all.
I’ve lived close to Sydney and I loved it there. Now we are south of Perth and here it’s beautiful too. The air is so clean. But I would really love to visit Hobart one day and Melbourne too!!
Probably Melbourne for shopping and variety of restaurants and Adelaide when I want the “countryside ” feel for peace and quiet without being too boring . I’ve never been to Perth , Darwin or Tassie so maybe one day .
I love Melbourne as there is so much to see and do but I also like the other cities as they each have something unique to offer. Just depends on what you’re looking for in a city.
