  • I’ve never tried it but I’ve heard that rinsing your hair with beer makes it shiny.

  • I use John Frieda Frizz Ease – helps a bit.

  • I know what you mean as I have dark straight hair and any changes can be detected instantly . I find my hair reflects like easily and I tend to have oily scalp and dry ends. I always use a gentle shampoo and now there are a lot of shampoos that says ” for shiny hair ” etc such as Garnier Frutus , or Sunsilk etc.. Don’t use anything harsh as it will make it more dull and eat fresh fruits and vegies and drink water regularly to help put back moisture in your skin /hair . Hope you find the right shampoo :)

  • Try tea tree oil shampoo then a regular conditioner. I was wasnt convinced til i tried it. My hair is looking the best it ever has. It also helps with kids hair delangling and keeping nits away. Make sure you get the shampoo though not the oil

  • Thanks for some great advice.

  • I used to use Argon oils as a polish which is not cheap, however I know AVON now do a hair shine serum in a green bottle I think. Otherwise like some others have suggested it may be down to your shampoo and conditioner (remember too much conditioner will make your hair dull too)

  • A shampoo and conditioner for your hair type – maybe ask at the salon?

  • There are so many gloss hair products for shine at Chemist Warehouse etc or you could use a serum eg frizz-ease.Best of luck!
