I found bibs to be somewhat usual during the early stages of life, but once solids were introduced at 4 months, they basically became useless. I just prepared for clothes changing after meals, and some snacks.
My two eldest children didn’t need bibs. They didn’t drool and I found it easier to feed them in just a nappy, then wash them. My 3rd was a non stop drooler. She has low muscle tone so when feeding her milk would dribble out of her mouth also. Bibs just didn’t do much, they would soak through in seconds. I ended up using the old fashioned cloth nappies
Always use a bib as it’s much easier to wash and dry than multiple changes on clothes. Nice wipe down ones like Penny Scallan are great as you just wipe it down
well to me you still have to wash something so its up for debate. considering babies are messy eaters most of the time.. they are useful and convenient if you are out and dont want to change there outfit becuase they look too cute it in..
With a son that vomits & dribbles all the time we love using bibs, it saves our lives.
We use the ones with a dribble catcher, it has been the best so far. With other brands the milk or vomit just runs through his neck, under his clothes because the collar is too big and loose.
