Hello!

I was thinking of buying a high pressure cleaner for my husband, to use to clean the car and the patio. Do you own one? If yes, which brand? What should I look for before making the purchase?
It has to be cheap too. No more than 150 dollars. In eBay there is a 20% discount in certain shops till Sunday 15th and I’d like to take advantage of that.
Any help would be kindly appreciated! :-)

  • I love our high pressure hose it makes me feel like our pergola and front yard are fresh as well as clean. I sometimes place lavender disenfection on the cement before spraying.

  • I would hire first to see if we liked it!

  • We have a Gernie brand pressure washer. It is awesome. Very satisfying watching the grime come off the stenciled drive and cement. We also pressure washed our caravan. It came up beautifully. Next is the outdoor furniture and walls of the house so we can paint.

  • Thanks to you too!!

  • lol i am not going to be different here KARCHER
    reliable and works well.

  • 99 dollars? That’s a great price! I will surely check the prices before buying.

  • I have a Karcher which is fantastic. Doesn’t use too much water. It is a dream for cleaning outside Cement & Tiles also for the Initial clean of outside Screens & Windows. Mine came with an extra to steam clean tiles & shower screen etc. It was $99 & they seem to come down to that price pretty often. Good luck.

  • Thanks Cherz for checking with your husband! Oh my! It’s really powerful if it can lift up the top layer of the concrete. When I hire it, I’d better be careful. Maybe under my husband’s supervision!

  • Hiring a unit is a brilliant idea – try before you buy!

  • Checked with my hubby as he has a Karcher that he purchased from Bunnings. I know if you have it set to high it will lift the top layer of the concrete off. He said he would not use it on the car but it is great for cleaning around the house etc.
Good luck in what ever you choose.

  • Thanks! I’m thinking of hiring one first. If it’s not expensive, it could be something to do twice a year for example.

  • Never had one – but sounds interesting. Hope you have success at buying one within your budget.

  • I definitely need a high pressure cleaner

  • Oh, I hadn’t thought about that, MOM160421. I love when people come with so special ideas! I could check in Bunnings. I think it’s also a way to try a product before committing to a purchase. Thank you!!! :-)

  • Is it something that you need on an ongoing basis? What about just hiring a high pressure cleaner instead?
