  • I’m in Newcastle and I believe there is a Newcastle Writer’s group. It might be a matter of googling until you find some information on writer’s groups in your area.

  • It depends on what genre you work in, and where you are. For example, there’s the Romance Writers of Australia, the Blue Mountains SF group, and so on. Try googling your area and genre.

  • I have never heard of a writing group but what a great idea – I will be looking into this in my area. Thanks

  • I’m not part of any actual groups but I follow lots on instagram. They have things that go around to each area so you can see when stuff is near you. I haven’t been able to go to anything yet but I’m hoping to next year.

  • There are writers groups all over the place. Actually, your local council may be the first place to start to find local groups. I hang out in my local NaNo group. By NaNo I mean participants in the National November Writers Month competition (also known as NaNoWriMo). They have Faceboook groups for most regions. you can find out more about them here: https://nanowrimo.org/

  • I don’t know of any I’m sorry.

  • There are writing groups in nearly every area. I’d suggest contacting your local writers centre (google it, since I don’t know your location) and asking them. Your state writing centre should be able to direct you to some online options if you live somewhere remote. If you’re interested in genre specific writing groups, peak groups like “Romance Writers of Australia” can direct you to specific local groups.

  • It’s a wonderful hobby indeed, I agree. During school holidays my daughter was so excited that she finally had time to write seven all chapters. During school time there isn’t much time to write. And writing takes time. :-)

  • Thanks so much for the link – awesome! :) Good on your daughter – writing is a creative and wonderful past time.

  • I personally don’t, but my daughter and her friends write and share stories in Wattpad. https://www.wattpad.com/
