Hello!

In the last week twice I have lost feeling in the whole left hand side of my body. Followed by a headache and vomiting. I’ve been to emergency ward and the doctors after I felt i wasn’t given any answers but just put on the drip and sent home from emergency. My doctor told me she thought it may be atypical migraines, sent me to get a cat scan. I am currently waiting results. But has anyone suffered from something similar? I just find it hard to believe that a migraine can be capable of making me lose all feeling in one side of my body. I’ve never had migraines before. And I never have any headache pain till after I lose feeling

  • Migraines are caused by a virus or pathogen, and if you keep feeding it with bad food, alcohol, gluten, and processed foods it will cause all sorts of issues. Get a hold of a book by Anthony William he has written a few, look him up on the internet, he also has Youtube, Instagram and facebook. Many people have cured themselves of all sorts of issues following his advice.

  • I hope you have seen a Dr. and have had some tests showing the cause. I don’t want to be alarmist but it could be urgent that you get the correct treatment. It could very well be a neurological problem (brain related).

  • Migraines are awful.do I sympathise. It’s all about the neurological aspects of it so yes the loss of feeling can probably be attributed. Migraines affect every body differently and to different degrees.

  • Cat scan should give you clear picture what is going on. Cant give you any advice but fingers cross you will get some answers soon. All the best

  • Yes, migraine can cause neurological symptoms. Good a cat scan was made, hope the results give clarity.

  • That must have been so scary!
As the other mum says, it seems possible that it’s a consequence of the migraine. You must be so eager to know the results of your cat scan.
My husband suffers of migraines. No numbness, but he can’t see any more. Everything is so disturbed. If he’s driving, he has to stop somewhere and wait till it goes away. If he’s at home, he goes to bed.
    Success!

  • Yes I have migraines with numbness my worst had me numb down my whole right side, but my normal is numb fingers and arm followed by visual disturbance followed by the nausea and pain, last year I did have several months with the added bonus of facial numbness which lingered we tried about 20 meds and even epilepsy meds (I am not epileptic) to try and resolve the issue, I tried medical botox, MRI’s and elimination diets but it was in the end work environment and stress being the main contributors. I usually have a migraine hang over with light sensitivity, nausea and foggy head for a few days after, if you are not sure your migraine is a migraine see a doctor again as these symptoms could also be other things. Good luck. A clean diet with limited dairy gluten and preservatives can help some people.
