If your children are wheat intolerant or have coelic disease don’t use ordinary flour. Some only have to come into contact with it for it to make them sick, epsecially kids that lick their fingers at all.
The recipes that don’t involve cooking are the fastest (but I find the dough doesn’t last quite as long). Here is one recipe that is super quick:
Mix together:
1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup salt
2 tbs cream of tartar
1 tbs of oil
Then add your chosen colour of food colouring to 1 cup of boiling water and pour in. Mix together and you’re ready to go (but be careful, it might be a bit hot!)
We use this one and find it lasts for ages.
1/2 cups salt
1 cup plain flour
2 tbs cream of tartar
1 cup water
1 tbs oil
3 drops liquid food colouring
1 Mix all ingredients together in a medium sized saucepan.
2 Stir over heat until dough is pliable.
3 Allow to cool and store in a well sealed plastic bag or container.
