Hello!

With Fathers Day approaching I was looking for some ideas for sentimental presents, be they homemade crafts, or bought presents for my partner and dad from the kids. I have a 3 year old and a 9 week old.

  • Foot and hand prints, with those little poems, were always well loved by myself

  • These days both my husband and I ask for chocolate for Mother’s and Father’s Day and then we share it.

  • First thing that comes to mind is a hand a foot print of both kids. Either on paper or in clay. Then find a nice poem to go with it. My kids made it for their dad and grand dad one year, the loved it and I still have dads

  • What a beautiful idea for the tree. I might have to do this for his birthday that is coming up in December.

  • If you look up on Pinterest “Father’s Day tree printable ” you will find a link that gives you a free printable of a tree, then make “leaves” by using paint and your kids handprints. My husband loved his! And put into a nice frame!

  • My Dad got photos of my girls and my husband got nice writing books because he loves writing

  • we ended up making photo cards from moon pig.
photos for daddy with the kids holding letters to spell out daddy.
story book about dads for bed time.
    and clay hand prints.

thanks for all the great ideas ladies xx

  • Sorry don’t have time to read through all the response here already so my apologies if I just re post a similar idea now.
My father in law reigns supreme in his kitchen so I have made up a basket of items that always feature in his dishes as well as a few new ones for inspiration, bulked this out with some simple but nicely decorated kitchen utensils etc as they have just recently moved into a new property.

  • A nice watch perhaps!

  • I’ve bought books for my 4 year old son to give to his Dad so they can read together. “Some Dad’s” and “My dad is the coolest” are what we have – there are lots around.

  • I go back a card made from moonpig with photos of him and the kids. :)
Thanks for all the lovely ideas and suggestions ladies!

  • Family photos are always a hit in our family

  • Make a little book about ‘we love dad because… Just a couple of pages and something you each love about him. Get your 3 year old to draw a picture of dad doing what you all appreciate. It’s lovely you’re putting thought into father’s day gift :)
