Hello!

My daughter is allergic to dairy and so Easter is always a hard time. My son is now only allergic to nuts so I’m also after advice on the safest nut free chocolate. Thanks.

  • Big W have a good range of Dairy free easter eggs oh and Aldi too

  • Coles & Woolworths both sell an individually wrapped diary free chocolate around Easter and Coles has all year round from Sweet William’s. There’s plenty of diary free chocolate in the Health food Isle from Woollies & Coles too and of course in Health Food Stores. Alternatively “Loving Earth” comes always out with beautiful raw chocolate Easter eggs around Easter.

  • It is hard when children have allergies and parents always have to have that alertness at the most inconvenient times. I personally trust health food stores because that is what their specialties are. Perhaps talk to the sales consultant and explain your situation and see if they can recommend anything for you . Good luck .

  • Try health food shops, they usually have all sorts of alternatives re nut free and gluten free etc

  • What about sweet william that is nut and dairy free right?

  • we always got gifts as kids or sweets rather than chocolate!

  • If you can’t find actual easter eggs that are dairy and nut free you. Once you have dairy free nut free chocolate blocks you can actually get chocolate egg molds and make your own easter eggs. Might be fun for the kids too :)

  • As an alternative check Liddell Products. They have a wide range of lactose free products – not sure what else they have in them though. As a treat if she doesn’t normal have it, they make lactose free milk, yoghurt, cream and and lactose free chocolate icecream. I am not a great chocolate fan, but I have to admit the icecream is delicious. Another relative of mine has to have gluten free. I can’t remember whether he ate any or not. There are other brands but everybody I have spoken to reckon Liddells tastes unlike soy products.

  • One of my friends had the simlar problem, it had to be dairy free, egg free, gluten free, certain nuts free, pretty much eventhing free and it was so hard to find ones but i have found we googled it and it came up with a few choices and she was wrapped she was able to come up with a easter gift. I know i am responding after easter but for next year give it a go. it should save you running around trying to find something thats in short supply. I found the Allergy Friendly Foods website was a good one to buy a easter gift for her from.

  • Also; some Easter treats that are not chocolate are always a good idea too; particularly for kids with allergies.

  • From the Lindt website! : (Im dairy free at the moment due to breastfeeding my son who has allergies)

Milk and Whey in Lindt Products
Lindt uses skim milk, whole milk powder, and other dairy ingredients in many of our chocolate products. While our white and milk chocolate products contain the most, our 70%, 85%, 90% and 99% bars do not have milk products in them. All Lindt manufacturing facilities process milk, dark, and white chocolate products. We have an allergen control program in place, and adhere to strict Good Manufacturing Practices in order to reduce the risk of cross contamination, however, we do label all of our chocolate products that do not contain milk as an ingredient with the statement “may contain traces of milk” as a precaution for those that are most sensitive to milk and whey.

  • Health food stores offer a great range of dairy and nut free alternatives.
