Hello!

I’m looking for something for my son’s room. It can be online or an actual store on the East side of Melbourne, or around Bayswater North. I’ve tried Spotlight.

  • Have you tried Spotlight? Or a blind company

  • Another option is to leave your curtain for what it is and apply Static Cling Total Blackout Window Film ! I did this for my daughter and think it works the best so far.

  • Try Spotlight online (if you haven’t already – they sometimes stock things that aren’t in the physcial store). Try Lincraft. And ask if one could order it in for you if they don’t have it in stock.

  • My first stop would be Spotlight, Lincraft or a haberdashery store. These days there probably aren’t that many shops who sell material because so much is sold online. Why not block out curtains? There seem to be plenty of reasonably priced ones in the variety and department stores.

  • Maybe Spotlight had not long had a promotion and run out of stock….or was the store you went to one of the smaller ones?? I have made some from material I bought at a Spotlight store. My sewing machine didn’t like it much.
The last lot I had custom made and put up by Spotlight. A close friend of mine got some beautiful backed material with Tinkerbell on it for her girl and Cars for her boy.

  • Have you tried Lincraft or one of the big department stores like Myer, a curtain and blind store or a haberdashery store.?

  • Try Ebay.
They usually have a fantastic range of materials or ready made curtains.
Big W, Kmart & Target also stock block out curtains but I don’t think they sell material.
Spotlight is quite surprising, I thought they sold everything material wise!

  • Have you tried buying block out curtains, instead of the material? They have a fairly good selection in places like BigW and Target and Kmart.and Myer. Even Spotlight sell ready to hang curtains

  • Yes Spotlight was probably your best shot … how about online?

  • This is peculiar as I have purchased block out from Spotlight on several occasions. Maybe try Lincraft or a curtain making store?

  • That is so weird the spotlight in bundaberg has heaps of patterns for kids blackout curtains i made some just recently. The obly other place that i can suggest would be ebay

  • you could try ebay – they have a lot of fabric and curtains

  • You would of thought spotlight would have it, maybe try Ikea.

  • i got mine from spotlight but maybe try lincraft
