Hello!

We’re having our daughters 1st Birthday in January, and we have friends with older children. I’m wanting to give little treats, as we aren’t having any party games. Does anyone know where I can get good cheap party favors? I’ve seen a few websites, but, they are really expensive.

  • I don’t think good and cheap go together in this context – but you can get inexpensive things in Kmart and most cheapie stores.

  • I think Kmart has great wee party gifts !

  • Big W, Target, K-Mart all have small party sections that might be okay.

  • I would suggest the discount stores or sometimes the supermarkets in the party section.

  • Bargain shops/ Reject Shops are everywhere and cater for parties for young and old .

  • Discount and $2 shops have party favours in packs of 8 -10. Cheap, cheerful. Also, online.

  • Printwise Promotions would like to take the search out of your day and assist you in finding that perfect party favor, with professionalism and innovative ideas.

  • Depending on what you want Kmart have get cheap pens and pencils, discounts shops sell the bubble wands and lollies always go down well

  • Discount stores or ebay are pretty good.

  • I made simple stationary packs for my daughters 5th birthday. I got a huge pack of bits and pieces at kmart and my daughter put them together in bags she also designed (small brown gift bags and decorated)

  • As already suggested, Ebay or the discount stores are the best value you will get.

  • yep $2 type shops and reject shop are my pick. good luck.

  • I have found the reject shop to be wonderful for little bits and bobs

  • Thanks so much ladies. I love all the ideas. I’m not one for giving lollies to kids as I feel toys are so much more fun.

  • If you are going to give food as treats you need to check that none of the children have allergies or are not allowed some food, drinks and lollies for a particular reason. It could be hard to give all the children the same thing if there are age gaps because the kids may compare what they are given. Some of the discount stores have very good bargains. It also depends how many children will be at the party.
