Hi there, my daughter is about to turn 1. When did other bubbas at this age begin to drop a daytime sleep? She currently has 2 sleeps during the day – morning and afternoon.

  • My kids were around this age when they went to one sleep. You can do this by making the morning nap a bit later. It’s a tricky transition but you just need to encourage them to stay awake a little longer and while they’re getting used to it they may need to go to bed a little earlier.

  • My first dropped from 2 sleeps to 1 sleep at 12 months, then stopped all daytime naps just after 2 years.

  • My daughter dropped her last day sleep at age 3 and only because I was working, my sister in law was minding her, and it just got dropped. She slept really well of a night time mind you

  • My daughter is about to turn 2, most days she still has 2 naps. Although when we are busy, she only has 1 nap when she really needs it… I have found with my 4 kiddos that they sort it out themselves on when they want or need a nap =)

  • yeah around this age they fight going to sleep

  • When ever you feel is ready the more sleeps they have the happier the baby will be, normally they will let you know, it was about 18 months for our 3 daughters when they went to 1 sleep

  • My daughter stopped both daytime sleeps at 17 months.
