  • Easter activities maybe you can find some in store that could be fun

  • I like the idea of movie tickets it’s expensive to go to the movies now so I’m sure any kid would love an extra trip or a trip to the movies.

  • we no longer buy for neices and nephews as there are way too many and we’d go bunkrupt! My son has put himself on a diet this year (he is 17) so I am thinking of movie tickets or gift card as there are a lot of movies he wants to see this year, maybe you could buy some movie money and give a ticket each and maybe an adult movie money for their parents so they can have an afternoon out at their leisure

  • I would never have thought of leaving notes listing enjoyable activities. I remember one year my parents gave me a bed reading light with an Easter Egg where the globe fitted. My Mum gave her grandchildren a small egg and often a pretty hand knitted jumper.

  • Great idea! When my kids were young, I bought some chocolate eggs for the Easter egg hunt that was on Sunday. On the Friday, we gave them gifts. Clothes, toys, the latest book, cd or DVD they wanted. I think it’s a waste to bombard them with chocolate that’s gone in a short while

  • I bought egg cups for my kids and put a special chocolate egg in them that they really wanted (a smartie one for my boy and a mint one for my girl), then wrapped them up in cellophane. They get a few eggs to hunt for and that’s it. The easter bunny will sometimes leave little notes around the house for things to do (eg. jump up and down 4 time, spin around while singing, give mum a hug etc) and they LOVE this part of the hunt too.

  • It’s a great idea getting some chocolate and clothes, that way they have something to use after the chocolate is eaten. My mum used to buy my nieces a chocolate rabbit and a nice pair of winter pj’s which they loved.

  • I bought this book for my daughter quite some years ago. There is a CD with the songs written on the book. Every Easter we still listen to it! :-) Maybe an idea for you?

  • Clothing and toys are fine !
Personally I don’t think a gift need to be given with Easter. When I buy it’s something small like an Easter craft.

  • We have a tradition of giving pj’s for Easter I love it and so do the kids.

  • ive decided to go with the books a pair of pajamas and couple of chocolates i dont think im going to over do it this year. time to save a few bucks haha

  • Easter themed books are always wonderful to give as a gift and and an enduring keepsake.

  • It’s absolutely NOT a bad idea to not give chocolates/sweets for your nieces and nephews. Books are my go to gift. Especially for Christmas and Easter. I believe a child can never have too many books, and they don’t have to be expensive. Chain department stores, ALDI, and many other places you can pick up cheap but great books at Easter.
Otherwise I’d say winter pj’s as it’s a great time to get new pj’s in a bigger size as kids grow so quick. Or if appropriate slippers or thick socks too? Can always include a small chocolate if you choose too.

  • I remember my children getting PJ’s and books for Easter instead of chocolate (or as well as chocolate) from family members.

  • Any gift given with love at Easter is thoughtful and kind.
Gifts at Easter do not need to be chocolate based or sweet treats.
