Hello!

Our son has a very bad rash, and we cannot find what is causing it. We have altered all the washing powders and soaps, and he still has it. Someone suggested calamine lotion so we bought some and he tried it, but he is still itching. Another suggestion was then emu oil, but it has to be pure… Has anyone used it? If so what do you use it for- like sores, bites rashes etc? Many thanks for help.

  • Hubby tried to use this for sore joint pains but he bought the wrong one.
Apparently only the original one works.

  • I’ve heard of emu oil but have never looked for it or used it.

  • I’ve used emu oil as a general moisturizer. I’ve read that it is used for various skin conditions, and can reduce inflammation because of its fatty acids. So if the rash is to do with inflammation (ie skin irritated) then it might help.

  • I am curious to know what the cause of the rash is? If you know the cause, you can then address that and then healing the skin that has been effected.

  • Wondering how your son got on, did you try the emu oil?

  • I’ve never used emu oil and if you’ve tried other options and they’re not working then I’d try your Doctor.

  • Talk to your local pharmacist

  • I haven’t use emu oil but lansinoh work very well for my little one rash.

  • I would talk to your chemist and explain what you have tried, he could have a food allergy that your not aware of also

  • Should be fine to use

  • I’d check with the doctor first. Emu & extra virgin coconut oil are good for sores that aren’t open or bleeding.

  • Yes definitely getting better, we have managed to get some emu oil that does not have any additives, and it is working well… thanks for all the help… went to an emu farm and bought it in south west of western australia…

  • I have used emu oil and it’s very much like any other moisturizing oil you can get, although it also claims to help muscle aches etc. If the rash doesn’t go away if definitely go see a Dr.first!

  • Buy the cheapest laundry powder you can like home brand etc as these have less chemicals in them. get some Benpathen from chemist this is brilliant. if you notice the sores are quite open you should go to doc
