Hello!

My daughter is not a good eater. She doesn’t like any veggies, pasta, noodles- all She likes is meat. I am struggling at the moment to make her eat healthy meals. Is there any way to encourage her to eat all types of food? Thanks

  • Add veges to sausage rolls, spaghetti , burger patties, anything really where you can hide them in. Maybe let her pick some when shopping to encourage her.

  • Just keep trying. Try serving the food in different ways. Make it look fun on the plate. Try and hide vegies ect… in another food.

  • Great! ! Its very interesting reading the comments on this!

  • Have you tried making her meatballs with grated vegies hidden inside? Also just keep offering little bits of fruit and veg, pasta, cheese, etc with her meals as finger food that she might start trying.

  • be more firm with her

  • there are some good comments here

  • I would agree with the other MoM comments, RECIPES here on MoMs have the tastiest treats and meals for even the fussiest eaters.

  • there are some great examples on the blog of making food fun….or how about try a reward system?

  • there are some great veggie recipes in recipes – love the cauliflower fritters and there are a lot of interesting ways to use veggies too

  • Thanks for all great inputs ladies.

  • Sneak it into foods n don’t tell her

  • meat patties is a great idea, finely grate all the veges and she wont notice them at all.

  • Grate every veggie and make them into meat patties and sausages!

  • I have been known to hide vegies :) I puree vegies & freeze them. With mashed potato I add pureed cauliflower, I add pureed carrot & broccoli with zucchini to spaghetti. I find if I grate it my daughter will spot it. She is nearly 9 & very fussy whereas my 19mth old will eat anything. I have also found when dishing out dinner I put it all on the table & everyone picks what they want & how much they will eat. My daughter likes it this way as she doesn’t get overwhelmed with a plate full of things she won’t eat but can pick what she will. Only rule is she must choose a few things otherwise I add it to her plate, this works for us :)

  • love hiding veggies in meat balls.
