Hello!

I’m looking for recommendations on eye makeup that is good for very sensitive eyes. I get very bad eye allergies and find my eyes get irritated quickly with the eye shadow i have used. Has any one found one that is good?

  • Natio and nude by nature

  • Sounds like you may be allergic to the toxic chemicals in most make up, try finding a natural brand, there are many these days.

  • Natural products are definitely the way to go. I used to have the same problem, but nice by nature is great and Arbonne. I haven’t done much experimenting beyond that because when you find something that works, you stick to it

  • I have sensitive skin and only use products that are organic. That way there are no nasties in them and you have less chance of having a reaction. I highly recommend websites like ‘floraandfauna.com.au’ and ‘shopnaturally.com.au’. They have fantastic products, well priced and you know you are only putting ‘good’ stuff on your skin. These are where I buy all my make up, skincare and haircare….

  • Lots of good suggestions here.

  • Nude by nature

  • I find Loreal is fine where most other make up brands aren’t for me.

  • I also have sensitive eyes and have to be careful with what I put on my face. I have heard Nude By Nature is goid for sensitive skins as well as being a high quality product

  • I have found Nude By Nature shadows are great and I also find that Max Factor do great mascaras.

  • I would speak with a pharmacist who can probably suggest brands that are good for sensitive eyes.

  • Read lots of reviews on products too and compare the brands; researching products is always important before purchase.

  • It’s like food. You need to read the ingredients very carefully. A lot that advertise make-up as natural.
Speaking from experience some of those have nasty chemicals in them including the very expensive brands Eye make up is not a think I have trialled to any extent. It’s better to have good eyesight than permanently damaged eyes or the skin around them which can get ulcerated if the reaction is severe enough

  • I generally avoid eye make because of sensitive eyes.
Eyes react differently and I have trialled different ones in store – samples can be provided.
    Maybe trial some before buying?

  • I’ve a very sensitive skin and had many allergic reactions too, not only on make up but also on all store bought skin products. Just shows what amount of “crap” (sorry for the word) there is in these products. I stopped using all make up and store bought skin products all together and make my own skin cream with raw shea butter, raw coconut oil and raw honey. No make up is rather freeing too ;)

  • Sorry can’t help you with brands but I went to Mecca and they helped me with some eye makeup suggestions for sensitive eyes. I know they have some brands like that
