  • If you notice that you’re losing hair, see your doctor or a dermatologist. They will be able to determine if you’re experiencing female pattern baldness or another type of hair loss.
The sooner you get treated, the faster you’ll be able to stop the loss — and possibly even regrow hair.

  • Tell me about it my hair has gotten so thin normally if my hair get to long it gets very Brittel and just falls out so have just had a good chop and it hasn’t been to bad

  • Maybe speak with your gp? Is a wig out of the question to help with your confidence?

  • Sounds like post partum hairloss. I’m honestly durprised I don’t have a noticeable bald patch given the amount of hair I’m losing.

  • I would recommend to ask your local pharmacist, they can recommend a product right for you! I kind of went through the same but when confirming with my GP he said it was just a hormonal change and would go back to normal after a couple of months. That was accurate so did not end up buying any specific product.

  • Talk to your doctor is the best. I know there are some vitamin supplement for hair at chemist. May be talk to your pharmacist too.

  • Have you tried the same treatment that men have when they are going bald they do treat woman’s hair aswell . Have you seen a doctor to see if there is anything medically wrong with you . There are treatments out there for you . But most importantly don’t let the people that ask you about your hair Bother you just do yourself a favour and look in the mirror and say to yourself that you are Beautiful it’s what’s in the inside that matters Good Luck with everything l hope you are healthy and something can help your hair grow back

  • Tell them to mind their own business!

  • I would see your doctor first and find out what they think. If it’s not medical then you could talk to your hairdresser. They may have had someone else with the same issue. I wish you all the best in finding a solution or at least get some peace of mind.

  • Definitely see your GP because what you can do about it will be largely determined by what’s causing it.

  • I would suggest a doctor and see what they say.

  • I can’t believe people would be so rude. I’d start with your GP and take it from there. I’m assuming there are many reasons why this could happen – stress, health issues, medication, etc. so seek professional advice.

  • I echo what Ellen has said, (and I have a similar issue btw). I feel v self conscious about it as it is right at the front of my hair line. See your gp first, as there may be an underlying issue (hormone inbalance for example) responsible. While there are ways of disguising the problem , you really want to try and address the cause. Regaine for women may help, but as soon as you stop using it, the problem may start, so better to investigate with some blood tests etc . You dont say how old you are – sometimes this can be a stress related issue, other times a pre menopause thing. Also, perhaps meanwhile you can get a hair dresser consultation to find a way of styling or wearing your hair that makes you feel less self conscious about it?

  • It would be frustrating, I assume everyone you know will eventually have been told about your hair loss, then the questions will reduce
