Hello!

I just found out yesterday morning I am pregnant! I have fibroids and a history of miscarriages and I am wondering if any other mums that also have fibroids and have experienced several miscarriages went on to have a normal, healthy pregnancy? I am worried this baby won’t stick! (note: I am 34 with 2 teenage kids & I only just started trying for number 3, got pregnant 2nd go, last miscarriage was approx 5yrs ago & I have not been on birth control!). Do you have any advice for a mum dealing with fibroids and pregnancy?

  • I had three miscarriages and on my fourth pregnancy I have now a gorgeous girl. I had a huge fibroid shown on the ultrasound but it didn’t make any harm on the fourth pregnancy. I had lots of rest and didn’t carry anything heavy while pregnant. Good luck. xx

  • I had fibroids detected during an early ultrasound for my second pregnancy. I hadn’t even heard of them before that. A week later, I became very breathless and another ultrasound revealed my hormones had increased their size dramatically, putting extra pressure on my diaphragm and lungs. Lots of bed rest. A month later, my symptoms slowly decreased, and a later ultrasound revealed they had all but vanished. I’ve had two more bubs since this one without complications from fibroids, but have also lost one pregnancy too.

  • Hopefully you can find a great doctor who can provide you with all the information you will need, Im not sure there is anything that you can actually ‘do’ to help the pregnancy apart from take great care of yourself and try not to stress

  • Would love to know how you went and how things are going for you now

  • I truly hope that everything went well for you.

  • How has it all gone for you?

  • I hope everything went smoothly for you this time, it sounds like you have had a rough time.

  • How did you go with your pregnancy?

  • Sorry not sure about this one, but congratulations anyways

  • Express your concerns to the doctor ,Congrats and hope everything goes smoothly

  • Babies cope with a lot. I personally think it will stick or it won’t regardless of what u ingest. But congrats on the pregnancy

  • Good luck. See you doctor and get some good advice which will hopefully settle any anxiety you must be feeling.

  • congrats on your pregnancy! I’d say discuss your concerns with your gp and go from there !
