Hello!

It’s predicted to be 40 degrees on the day of the baby shower- what would be good food to have that we don’t need to use the oven for?

  • Yes I agree with cheese platters, nuts, olives, fruit platters, zucchini slice, home made hummus with different types of veggie sticks, tomato’s and cucumbers with dukkah, cut up boiled eggs, etc

  • Sandwich, cakes, zucchini slice, quiche, cheese platter…

  • I’ve only just read the date on this post so no doubt your shower went off beautifully. I would have suggested the type of foods you’d serve at a high tea – finger sandwiches, mini quiches, cupcakes, scones, slices etc.

  • Cool! ! Its very interesting reading the comments on this!

  • Carrot, celery , anything you can dip into dips

  • Sandwich platter, fruit skewers and cupcakes

  • What about ordering some souchi platters , you can have them sitting on top of ice trays. And pinwheel sandwiches are pretty

  • Make some fruit kebabs and serve it with a sweet dip. I’d suggest this one, as it’s quick, easy and really delicious.

If you’ve got the time, make some Oreo Truffles, as they’re always a hit.

  • Some great ideas here, I would go with a fruit platter.

  • Fresh fruit, vegetables and dips, or maybe an antipasto platter?

  • there are some good comments here

  • fruit would be good to have

  • the gelato idea is brilliant!!

  • Our engagement party was in the 40s – at night!! So hot!! We hired a self-serve gelato stand – everyone loved it. Perfect for a hot day!

  • A big fruit platter maybe?
