Hello!

I’ll either be hosting a footy finals party or going to one next week and would love some fun finger food ideas. A bit of everything to suit from the kids to healthy eating adults. Nothing too fancy.

  • Interested to know what you ended up serving?

  • Party pies ans sausage rolls are always popular, and a selection of cheeses,kabana,dips,olives,sun-dried tomatoes and pickled onions.

  • Also, a big bowl of non alcoholic punch. Always a hit with everyone.

  • Little franks are always a hit with tom sauce!! A good dip with crackers, sliced cheeses and tomatoe, cold meats and a French stick sliced up is always a crowd pleaser.

  • Party pies and sausage rolls, a couple of different dips , dry biscuits a cheese platter and a fresh fruit platter. Don’t forget the tomato sauce and sweet chili sauce. Best of luck.

  • make square quiches with eggs, milk (cream ) cheese a must.onion, bacon and mushroom or anything you fancy. Then can be cut into bite size squares. dips and veg sticks ,are great and healthy too. sausage rolls or veggie rolls (cook pot mixed veg and then mash with butter and use as filling, can buy pastry ready to cook. I personally like home made food. But lots of party food, spring rolls, dim sims etc in freezer section great too. We ‘girls’ still do our finger food parties and love it

  • Definately party pies and sausage rolls. Jelly cups with fruit in it, footy shaped sandwiches

  • fruit skewers with some pineapple, grapes, and water melon. If its hot put them in the frezzer for a cold treat, I also do a cob dip ( the dip part can be prepared the night before and put into the cob and heated up when ready for serving)
You could cook a cake do a chocolate one in one bowel and a orange one in another with a bit of yellow food dye, then do layers of one then the other and cook like a normal cake. thats if you are going for hawthorn.
You could also cook a heap of chicken skewers on the bbq, we normally make our own on a small skewer ( or just cut the really big ones in half) and baste in a honey soy meal sauce base the nightbefore) before cooking them the next day. You can make heaps this way and is more cost effective than buying them ready made.

  • Pizzas are great, cater for everyone with these, dress them up or down to suit adults and kids

  • I just uploaded a recipe for pizza and veggie swirls to the moms site it’s yum and easy

  • Sounds like fun!
Try Pete Evans beetroot hummous, it’s really easy to make and tastes beautiful. Then just do cheese, olives, dried fruits and crackers with plenty of carrot, cucumber, celery and capsicum strips to dip.

  • Homemade party pies and sausage rolls, mini sliders, mini quiches, fruit kebabs, crackers and cheese. These are all pretty easy and can be prepared ahead of time. Have fun!
