  • You probably can’t. You can’t force sleeping through, and your baby is very young.

  • be patient, they don’t sleep through – they wake for feeds still, nappy changes etc. it will get better though and slowly decrease.

  • You don’t. If you get a night that the baby sleeps through enjoy the extra sleep but babies aren’t made to sleep through the night at 3 months.

  • lol! good luck! how do I get my 11 month old to. I think you arte suppose to wait until 6 months…

  • When my daughter was about 3 months old she went through a terrible time with her sleep but it improved after about 3 – 4 weeks. With regards to sleeping through the night, I guess I was lucky. I can’t recall when I stopped her night feeds (I’m thinking it was at least 6 months but probably older), I probably let it go on longer than it needed to.

When she woke in the night, I gave her a minute to see if she would settle. I would then go in, comfort her, shush her and offer her a drink of water. Then I would put her back in her cot and leave. If she grizzled/ cried, then I would wait a little bit before going in and repeating the same procedure. Essentially what I did was like responsive Cry It Out.

She was in the habit of waking in the night and getting fed but she wasn’t really hungry, it was just a habit/ routine. I was there to comfort her and to feed her if she was persistent but after a couple of nights, she started sleeping all the way through.

    Good luck.

  • Hahahaha, unfortunately there is no magic potion for this. Only time, patience and perseverance will get you through this one. Make sure they’re dry, comfy, warm and snuggley, fed…..there’s not too much more you can do

  • Try alternative calming methods like shh pat, and extend feeds, but you may not be able to push them, they will get there

  • Unfortunately you can’t! They need to be fed throughout the day and night unfortunately! It might feel like you’ll never sleep a full night again, but it will eventually happen. My second daughter is finally sleeping through at 14 months.

  • You don’t, most babies of that age simply cannot sleep through the night as their tummies are too small & they need to feed through the night

  • there are some good comments here

  • hows its goin? any luck

  • How are they sleeping now?

  • i hope its going well

  • Hope you have had some luck getting them to sleep better.

  • A question for the ages really
