Hello!

Should I get my daughter into a skin routine? – My 7 year old daughter has developed blackheads on her nose. Whilst it doesn’t bother her at all, I’m wondering if i should be proactive and get a skin care routine going for her? This young, what would even be best for her skin? Thanks

  • I would ask her what she wants to do about it with the offer of a skin care routine or something smaller like a particular face cloth for the shower

  • Yes! You need to educate from a young age even if it’s just soap and water

  • 7 is a bit young for that I think. Danger is that when you as mum focus on it it gives the wrong message to her. Washing with water should be enough. When you want yuou could clean it with coconut oil.

  • Maybe a gentle cleansing product such as the QV range might help

  • I think a routine of cleansing her face, sunscreen, and moisturiser, would be good. I’d use a range like “Simple”.

  • I think if you’re gonna do it, you need to stick to something free off too many ingredients. Maybe just plain sorbolene cream??

  • I think she is a bit young but just washing her face daily with water

  • the absolute best at this age would be a shower gel with natural exfoliant (such as almond seeds) on a loofah and gently wash the face.
if its super severe then talk to a doctor.

  • Not sure if you are interested but the nutrimetics has a clear range and is easy to use with a number system so will help understand what to do at any age. My daughter uses it and my nephew its great product and makes them feel confident. I know someone at http://www.nutrimetics.com.au/tracybaker

  • I often wander what age do you start to encourage more than just a face wash also. There’s some good answers here giving me lots to think about.

  • Yes start now but only something really simple just wash and moisturise

  • how did it all go

  • there are some good comments here

  • how are u going have u started yet

  • U don’t want to start her on proactive ( full on nasty chemicals) at that age…. Try get her on a good cleanser n an organic moisturiser.
