Have you tried talcum powder? I think that if you want to kill them then go with a chimical instead of something natural.

I second ant rid as it takes the poison back to the nest.

If they are in your house, try putting ant rid in the path of them, and leave them too it, they will eat and take back to the nest. I did this and havent had another problem. If mainly outside, try finding the nests and boiling water down the holes.

a few drops of detergent mixed with water will do the trick, in a spray bottle!

I have the same problem. From nowhere our house is full of them.

Borax powder sprinkled over sand – grass & corners of house retells the ants they will get far away – if you can find the nest holes pour boiling water into hole The water will go down all the ant trails – killing the queen will make the ants go to a new region

Not sure if there is any natural way of doing it.
