  • Cleaning the bluish-greenish stains caused by corroding pipes is easy. Just mix vinegar and baking soda into a paste, apply to the stains and wait about 10 minutes before wiping off. To prevent these stains, you’ll want to have your water tested to see what is making your water so corrosive.

  • I use jif

  • It sounds like calcium build up, CSLR cleaner will get rid of it

  • Sounds like Brass stain try Lemon and Baking Soda Polish. Combine the juice of half a lemon with a teaspoon of baking soda and stir until it becomes a paste. Apply the paste with a soft cloth. If the tarnish is heavy, let the piece sit with the paste on it for 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water and dry.

  • Try jif or something similar like it.

  • Yes, is it like a metallic type stain from the tap or drain? I use creamy cleanser. Any brand will do

  • I am very careful with the bathroom and try to be gentle with any products.

  • I do have a little green rim at the bottom of my vanity spout. I’ve tried bleach, ajax and vinegar but it’s still there. I have no idea what it is. I’m guessing it’s something metallic like copper.

  • p.s. be v cautious re solvemts like acetone because they will either work or strip the top coating of yr vanity – like nailvarnish on plastic- disastrous.

  • white toothpaste, or autosol, or cif, on an old toothbrush or cotton bud.Work in small circles and it will lessen , repeat til gone

  • No, I haven’t experienced it. You could try nail polish remover – but test it carefully on a small spot first.
