  • No but it sure is on my bucket list. Hope to get there some day.

  • My brother in law and his wife is currently travelling in Europe and just visited the Colosseum Centre in Rome. Seeing this pics are so amazing as it is so big so maybe try and stay not far from Rome as I think the main attractions are there .

  • Oh I love Italy in general. Most recently we stayed in Rome right near the Colosseum at the Mercure Rome Colosseum Centre and it was awesome. We did a hop on hop off bus tour for 3 days before doing local sights. To get from the airport to the city we caught The Leonardo Express 3327 to Rome Termini. So much cheaper and quicker Ask your hotel for the best restaurants to get good food.

  • The trip below hiking sounds terrific – will look into it. :)

  • Oh my. It looks amazing. But not for everyone for sure.
I’ve been to Le Cinque Terre and the place is gorgeous!

  • If you are looking for a challenge with many stunning views and experiences , look into the Cinque Terra 7 day walk.
7 days of hiking , carrying only a day pack ( your luggage gets sent ahead)
6 nights of staying in quaint little villages built on the sides of mountains
7 days of getting to know new people and tasting local foods and wine.
An experience not to be missed

  • Yes ! Love it. So many different places to experience ! And the food …..!

  • Italy l am hoping to go to in the near future,it would be a dream holiday.

  • Italy sounds delightful and like a mixture of busy and relaxed. Travel books can be most useful but real life accounts help too.

  • Do you have any idea whee you want to go? In my idea Tuscany is the most beautiful part of Italy, so I’d definitely try to go there. Venice and Rome are gorgeous too. And if you want some beach, quietness and relax, I’d go to Sardinia.

  • I travelled to Italy back in the 1980’s and again in the early 1990’s so no doubt things have changed a little. I would suggest not trying to drive yourself, as the traffic there is hectic.
