Hello!

My youngest son is due to turn 1 in December and I have been thinking that I’d like to customise a plain shirt or onesie to commemorate the occasion. I have seen ideas on Pinterest and people selling them but I’d really like to make my own to make it that little bit extra special. Has anyone else attempted this?

  • Yes I did many t shirts my self including Xmas shirts, it’s fun and lots of cheaper.

  • Never have made my own but love the idea!
It does make it extra special.

I did have some made & I love them, but now wish I had made my own, makes it that bit more personal.
Let us know how you go :)

  • Yes I did a singlet for my son :)

  • I did this for my last two (twins) as they were the last babies I would have. I brought transfer paper for cloth from a craft store and put their measurements at birth and at one year, So that as a keepsake would know how much they had changed in that 12 month period. They added their own hand print to back of it with their name under neath. Others loved it.

  • My older kids have done it for the baby – they did a special drawing using fabric markers.

Some other ideas would be to get a photo printed on the shirt, or do an applique design. Good luck!
