I’ve had 4 children and got a lot of stretching and muscle separation. Now every now and then my belly button becomes a real ‘outy’ and is very painful for a day or two and then goes away. Should I be worried or is this normal?

  • yes you should i have this its an umbilical hernia that can only be repaired with surgery,it dosnt heal itself,is very painful at times but each case is different,depends on size if its retractable etc you will have to go to the doctor have an ultrasound and stuff im in the process of surgery now but mine isnt life threatening but yours could be

  • yeah definately get it looked at to be safe

  • I would go to the doctor and get it checked out.

  • I would get it checked a strangulated hernia can be very dangerous

  • My MIL had a hernia removed through surgery. Go & see your GP to have it checked just to be on the safe side.

  • speak to your dr as you dont want it getting bigger, it may get better with gently ab exercises.

  • I had one while I was pregnant go c ur doctor but they usually let them go away itself
