  • I did, it ended up moving by 32 weeks.

  • Placentas don’t move, they’re attached to the uterus. And depending on where exactly they’re situated, they could cause complications. You’ll be in good hands in the hispital during delivery though, so don’t stress

  • Mine moved just a week before I gave birth.

  • I had it with my 2nd. It was completely covering and never moved. I was booked in for a c section a few weeks before my due date but unfortunately had a bleed and ended up in hospital and then a few days later while still in hospital had a major bleed and had an emergency c section at 34 weeks. Lucky my boy was already a healthy weight so we didn’t have too many complications with him.

  • A family member did, and was told to prepare for a c section if it didn’t move. By the time baby was born, it had moved just enough and got to enjoy a natural water birth. She did have to have a transfusion, but otherwise mum and baby were fine.
I just want to say, if you have to go for a c section, that’s ok too.

  • It really depends on how low it has attached to the uterus wall. If it’s too low it can cover your cervix and results in needing a c section. It also depends on how far along you are. If the placenta is laying low earlier in the pregnancy it will move up as your uterus expands up and out but how far it moves once again depends on where it has attached to the uterus wall.
