Hello!

I have had one for over 10 years but have been able to put it aside during previous pregnancy. I was doing really well recently but I am pregnant again and my bulimia is out of control. I think this covid pandemic & restrictions have exacerbated the problem and I don’t know what to do right now

  • I would certainly seek psychological help. Maybe reach out to the psychologist you had during previous episode ?

  • it is a stressful time. i found i couldn’t eat much at all and I lost heaps of weight.

  • Seems like you might need professional help. So much damage is done to the human body over time with bulimia

  • Definitely speak with your GP. Are you also stressed about other things in your life? Taking to a psychologist and dietician will help also. Best of luck.

  • I think you need to really go talk to someone about this and get it sorted especially for the baby your carrying.

  • I think it would be best to work with a dietician if you can to make sure your getting what you need. Another great thing I used when I had anorexia was protein shakes, the RAW pregnancy and breastfeeding one is really good I’m using it at the moment

  • Some High rank Medical Professionals tend to think that the Pandemic may never completely be eradicated – at least until there is vaccinations available.
You definitely need to seek professional advice. Is the Bulimia a result of feeling nauseous and wanting to get rid of the food you suspect is causing it??

  • Please talk to your gp and midwife…

  • I have and the beat thing todo is seek medical help.
A psychologist and a nutritionalist/fertility dietician that specialises in fertility will be money well spent. Good luck!

  • I feel awful hearing about you struggle. I haven’t had an eating disorder but I’ve always been really strict on my diet as I have a medical condition that causes me a lot of pain and bring on PTSD. However I suffered with hyperemesis gravidarum during all my pregnancies. I would eat and quite literally vomit minutes later. I would suggest a pregnancy vitamin replacement drink that may help if you’re not up for eating or vomiting. Please remember you are doing it for baby’s health and your own. Hang in there Covid will pass along with the stress x
