Hello!

I’ve been considering it for a while, as hubby is not so handy, but would like to know whether they’re worth going to. Have you don a Bunnings ‘handyman’ class?

  • Fortunately I learnt a lot of handyman skills by watching my father and helping him with DIY projects around the house. I’ve never been to a Bunnings class, but I imagine it would be fun and informative.

  • I have thought about going to one of their workshops but knowing me , I would love the theory . go home and be totally useless in practise. So I thought what would be the point of going . It would be worthwhile if you have some basic skills. I do know how to use the screwdriver though lol

  • A friend has been and found it great. They are basic but it depends on your skills as to how much you can learn from it. Certainly worth a shot in my opinion – nothing to lose

  • I’ve been to a couple. Absolutely fantastic! The teachers are so helpful, they don’t mind you asking any questions, and they explain everything in easily understood words. I plan on going to more

  • Yep – they are really good, and the women’s nights have great fun gals, and awesome prizes

  • If it is a popular class you can find that you get left on your own a bit which can be hard to learn from

  • I’ve tried the free ones for painting indoors, they are quite informative.

  • Have not been but am keen, I love bunnings and have a lot of my own tools, Hubby thinks I am crazy, I even bought my daughter a tool kit, I had my own little drill that would do in screws and came with a little belt holder and lots of attachments, it came in a case and was a very expensive brand, eventually hubby commandeered it and I basically lost custody, it is downstairs in his shed now, I actually liked it in my pantry, don’t really think I can justify buying another one for me, I think hubby just wants me to ask for it so that he can do the ‘man’ job for me!!! LOL Male pride I think it is. GO FOR IT, and don’t just stop at the female ones, go to any one that interests you, also you tube have lots of things on there, a lot put on by bunnings.

  • Feeling inspired by your question and going to find out!

  • Good question; would also like to know.
