Hello!

We eat tea fairly early, but once I finally wind down for the evening after getting kids to bed – I find i’m hungry again and can’t go to sleep if my tummy is grumbling! I already eat nuts and fruit throughout the day – Any other ideas on healthy snacks that will satisfy my hunger without ruining my good habits during the day?

  • Air popped popcorn is healthy and filling.

  • Yoghurt, soup, or cheese and biscuits are my go tos – sometimes a cup of warm milk.

  • cacao date balls are a great one. there are heaps of recipes online and they freeze well. so you can make big batches and pull out a handful as needed. i also love chia pudding, make using a 6 to one ratio of milk to chia. simply simmer the milk then take off heat, whisk in chia seeds and leave to cool then refrigerate. the next day the chia will have plumped up and its ready to eat and you can freeze this one too. have it plain or with honey fruit whatever you like. its a real good one for digestion too.

  • brown rice biscuts, with cheese and cucumber

  • I try not to have anything after tea as that’s my bad time of snacking on things I shouldn’t. If you have a nutribullet make yourself a smoothie. Or maybe some rice crackers, bliss balls, a cup of hot lemon and honey tea

  • Popcorn without butter, salt or sugar sprinkled on them is good. A smoothie with fruit might help stop the grumbling, a few rice crackers, diced tomato and basil on toast or a yoghurt.

  • Plain toast and a warm milk drink is also a good snack.

  • I don’t eat after dinner but if l do it’s a lovely cheese, olives and sundried tomato as a small platter!

  • Veggie sticks and hommus dip. Cheese and fruit platter. Just toast can be good, whole meal or grain topped with avocado and sliced tomato

  • I like simple crackers with cheese.
