  • The New Year is a great way to start goals such as a healthy diet and more exercise to get fit!

  • I just become more realistic rather than a hard set achiever. I didnt have the discipline to go the gym twice every week but I can go for long walks or brisk walking and eating healthier without giving up chocolate. Like more fruits than sweets etc

  • I don’t make New Years resolutions because I am hopeless at keeping them. I just generally try and eat healthier and exercise more. Not always achieved, but I’m aware of when I fail, and don’t stop trying because of it

  • I like the swapping idea; such a clever and good idea OZSTARLETT!

  • GOFUNKIT! great comment on cheat days! LOL! They can sometimes turn into weeks too!

  • I agree with the baby steps idea. Start off just cutting down on junk food, lollies etc… Once you start with salads, veggies and healthier meals you’ll start to get a new lease on life and want to cook more, try new recipes and at the same time you’ll be feeling much more energetic. Then you can introduce the exercise.

I did Michelle Bridges 12WBT, withought doing any excercise and still lost 8 kilos, it works great… 3 decent meals every day, good portions and also a treat meal on Saturday night (or one night a week). Once you start to have so much healthy and wholesome food, a cheat night doesnt break the routine as long as you dont spill that into a cheat ‘few days’… Good luck, its something a lot of us will be doing.

  • start with baby steps, swap unhealthy foods for healthy foods, take a walk once a day and then gradually increase healthy eating and exercise.
