Hello!

Hello, my daughter pops the pimples on her face and keeps peeling them, no matter how much I stop her. She has three big black marks on her face now, I am so concerned and want to know anything real mums have tried and that has worked to lighten the marks quickly.

  • To reduce the appearance of scars, try these natural home remedies: Aloe Vera — Contains anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Apply it to your baby’s scar and leave it on for 30 minutes. Apply up to twice per day

  • Bio oil is brilliant for scars. You need to remember too she’s still young the scars will fade over time. There’s no quick fix for scars, except covering with make up. She really needs to stop picking, leaves scars and spreads the zits

  • I agree with what others have said and I know its hard but try and get her to stop picking her face as she would have bacteria under neath her finger nails which will infect her face. If you take her to the GP maybe it might be enough to scare her into behaving

  • Lemon juice on the scars, but not on open skin.

  • first and foremost she really needs to try and stop ‘popping’ them, eventually these may leave scars down the track that will make them harder to remove. I suggest going to a dermatologist to maybe help lesson her outbreaks and there will be no need for her to ‘pop’ them, good luck x

  • Take her to the GP & ask for a referral to dermatologist.

  • pop some tea tree oil on the pimple as soon as she sees it come up, it works like a zit zapper and also helps control infection, so she wont get the redness associated with pimples. That’s to help prevent scarring in the first place.

  • One of the best creams available, that has had remarkable success treating acne, psoriasis and eczema is made by a small Australian company called Caroline’s Skin Care. If you contact Caroline, she’ll send you some small samples of her creams, so that your daughter can try them. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Check it out at

  • bio oil and rose hip oil are great for scarring but you mention pimples and if she keeps popping more scars will appear so I would suggest a visit to the friendly Doctor.

  • The best thing i have found to help with scarring is “Rose hip oil”
My son has a burn on his arm and i have been rubbing this into his arm and its actually done better than the stuff the hospital gave us.
Its quite expensive $30 for a 25ml bottle but you only need a little bit.

  • Vitamen E cream or bio oil, but not on open wounds

  • I know its tempting to pop those pimples but not good I would be seeing my GP for some advise

  • I’d see a GP and maybe ask for a referral to a dermatologist, you can waste a lot of money on over the counter stuff that may not work.

  • Talk with your pharmacist and they might have some advise on what to do

  • I would see a specialist before the scarring causes her social problems. My sister’s son had terrible acne & was given medication that cleared up his skin & you can hardly see old scarring now.
