Hello!

If I give my toddler “finger food” he will just play with eat instead of eating it. If I spoon feed him he will eat a lot of food.

  • give him a fork to try stab the finger food and feed himself. give a variety of different colours and shapes and textures like steam carrot sticks, round shapes of cheese, cookie cutter shapes of sandwiches.

  • Maybe start with giving finger foods and wait a good amount of time before spoon feeding. Or skip 1 spoon fed meal totally and set finger foods out, up to your toddler to take it or not.

  • Sit with him and share the finger food. Little ones are awesome at imitation, that’s how they learn a lot of things
