  • Why do you want him/her to sleep under a blanket ? My youngest never tolerated blankets and when young it caused a danger. She’s now 7yrs old and I still use a sleeping tog

they go up to size 4-6yrs old and come in different thickness

  • My 4 year old still refuses blankets. We brought her a ergo sleep suit to make sure she stays warm enough over night

  • Sometimes its because they self regulate their own temperature. The only alternative is a sleeping bag for babies but then you need to make sure they don’t over heat.

  • My grandson was the same. My son and daughter in law dressed him in warm pyjamas and then a baby sleeping bag for winter and the same for summer but no warm pjs and a lighter sleeping bag

  • My son has a similar problem too as he always ended up sleeping on top of the blanket as he used to subconsciously kick it off in the middle of the night. My mother was quite adamant this was not going to happen to us so she sewed ties on each end of the blanket and tied it to our beds. Not that we would have known any different but it did stop the blanket from moving . Maybe try that technique .

  • I use sleeping bags instead because it’s near impossible

  • That is so strange. They’re obviously not cold or they’ll get under the blanket. You could just wait until they’re asleep and cover them up???

  • I know this is an old question but for anyone else with a similar problem, we found a Bedsok brilliant for keeping them covered and firmly in bed!

  • We couldn’t and now over 2 she still kicks blankets off and says she is cold. Up until just before she was 2 she used a sleeping bag instead to help. There are also Bedsoks which my friends have used

  • I always put my kids to sleep in a “sleeping bag” so they did not get cold. Would place a blanket on them once they were asleep.

  • I would definitely use a sleeping bag and try to put a light blanket on top until it stays on there slowing transfer him out of the sleeping bag.

  • Use a sleeping bag until he’s ready?

  • My daughter still refuses to sleep under a blanket!

  • i hope its gone well

  • Hope you found the answer you were looking for.
