Hello!

The father of the baby can’t really do much while I’m pregnant. He attends the appointments he can get to, but what are some other tips for getting the dad involved in the pregnancy?

  • I agree with everyone else’s comments. Lots of great suggestions

  • I agree, a back massage, belly rub, feet rub, prepare a meal or cup of tea for you, do the groceries, be involved with babies room, being present with the ultra sounds

  • my husband always rubbed cream into my belly at night. it was a really lovely time of the day

  • I made my husband decide if we found out the sex. I was overwhelmed with decisions and it was really nice to have him take one.

  • Take video’s of your belly moving to send to him if he is away and photo’s. Ask him to help design bubs room or make something DIY to decorate

  • Maybe can go with you to the ultrasounds as that is an exciting time to see the baby on scan. Unfortunatley because mine used to work long hours he was always unable to , but were lucky to have great services at the hospitals which didn’t feel too isolating . .Good luck.

  • getting them to have a decision in what to buy for the baby

  • When baby moves, put his hand on your belly. He can set up the cot, or help with washing the newborn clothes. Help take photo’s of the memories of your bump growing and maybe add him with the bump in a few too.
